It was midnight and everyone was sleeping at my home. It was raining outside. Suddenly I heard a strange noise and I woke up. I got up and walked into the living room. The storm was getting stronger. I felt the presence of someone in the room. I wasn’t alone…. Suddenly a lightening flashed from the window and I saw a… lizardman! He was at the window and he looked at his hands. I didn’t know why, but I was so scared that I couldn’t move. Then he saw me and told me “ shh, stay back little boy”! Then he jumped on the big table and roared. No one heard him! Only me. Then it ran to the door and it got out of my house. On the door he left a small note. It wrote: “ If you, boy, want to see me again then you have to meet underground”. When I read it, I called my parents but they were sleeping very deeply. I thought that to go out alone in the middle of the night was very dangerous, but my curiosity won. I wore my clothes and I went underground into a sewer and I saw him again. The lizardman had a big mouth, two ugly eyes, scales on his shoulders, a big tail and his body was green. He said to me: “ I want your help. Will you help me find some food”? I was taken by surprise! I told him : “Yes, of course. Wait a minute”! When I went home I got him some vegetables. “Mmmm! They are delicious. Thank you boy! Wait! When will see you again?  Maybe never boy. Maybe never. Bye”! When I went home I…slepttt.

A few years ago there was a haunted house. One day some children played with a ball near this house. Their names were Simon, Julie, Eddy and Jasmine. Eddy kicked the ball in the house through a window. Nobody wanted to get the ball because they were frightened. They decided to go all together. They opened the door and went in. They saw a ghost. They were frightened. A sudden storm came. Suddenly they heard a noise. The noise came from a vase, which fell down. They went up the stairs. The stairs were creaking. A shadow appeared near the window and someone switched the lights off. They heard a voice that told them that they were going to die. Simon, Julie and Jasmine ran out but Eddie stayed there. He opened the wardrobe and he saw a skeleton. He was scared. There were bats on the ceiling. Someone locked him in a room and he opened the window and they ran to rescue him. They came in and they saw a shadow. They followed the shadow and went in a scary room. In this room there were lots of machines. They saw some keys on the table and they took them. They went in every room to find in which room was Eddy and they found him. In this room they found the ball, too. They took the ball and they went to their house to sleep after that scary day.

THE SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON

That was the seventh day of the storm. The Robinson family was worried because the boat crashed on rocks of an island and all died but the family Robinson was still alive. That island was small but very beautiful. They lived there for a lot of years and they had a lot of animals on the island. Robinson’s son found Jenny a very beautiful girl and she lived near the Robinson’s and Jenny and the son went back to Europe. The people of the book were the father Robinson, Robinson’s wife, Jenny, Fritz, Jack Ernst, the younger boy, turk and flora, the dogs. I like this book because it is funny and I like reading this kind of books. The message of the book is that if we get lost in an another place we mustn’t be scared.

SINDBAD

Sindbad was a young and rich man. He lived in Baghdad, he was very happy. After his father died he went to sea and he did 7 dangerous voyages and they were really dangerous. The characters are Sindbad, the four kings of east and north, Allah, the men who helped Sindbad and the old man. My favourite character was Sindbad because he is very brave, strong and very clever like Odysseus and my least favourite character was the old man because he hurt Sindbad everyday but Sindbad killed him. I like this book because it is dangerous and it has got boats and it is a little scary. I found this book interesting and it is the best book I have read. The message of the book is anything that happens in your life, we have to be happy about it and keep having hope.

THE SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON

This book talks about a family, a couple and four sons who were travelling by ship. A strong storm hit the ship. The family took the most important things that helped them to reach land. Finally they arrived on an island. They made a tree house to be safe from wild animals and enemies. They carried some animals from the ship like pigs, a donkey goats and chickens which helped the family to survive. After two years they found a girl, Jenny who was shipwrecked on a small island near them. In the end an English ship passed near their island but the family didn’t leave only their eldest son Fritz with his girlfriend Jenny. In the story there is father Robinson, his wife, their oldest boy Fritz, their second son Ernest, their third son Jack and the youngest boy Franz, a baby monkey and a young woman Jenny. My favourite character is Fritz because he was brave, very clever and inventive. The character I can relate with is Fritz because I like inventors and I want to study and go to the university like him. The most important character is the father because he had strong will and kept his family alive. This book shows that with a strong mind and useful skills people can survive on any strange land. People can build their lives again with hard work and cooperation. The family Robinson shows us a very important message that a loving family can work together in very difficult times. The children must be kind and patient. They have to help their parents and brothers and sisters. The story of the Swiss Family Robinson kept my interest alive from the beginning until the end of this book. I found it rich, amusing and entertaining.

MADAME DOUBTFIRE

This book talks about three kids, Natalie, Lydia and Christopher and a couple Daniel and Miranda who are at war.  Miranda doesn’t want to be with her husband and that war hurts their three kids. Daniel doesn’t want to be far from his children, that’s why he made a plan. He became Mrs. Doubtfire, their new housekeeper. He manages to be a very good friend with his children until his wife finds out who he really is. From that moment Miranda loved him again! The most important characters are Daniel, Miranda, Natalie, Lydia and Christopher. My favourite character is Daniel because what he did was a smart action, he was clever and he was the loveliest person of all. The character I can relate with is Daniel because I will do what ever I can to be with my children. I don’t like to fight with my wife like him and I want to be a lovely person for my family. The message of this book is we should be kind, friendly, be all together and be friendly in our neighborhood. We must be patient and kind to all people and a family must live together.

THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO

Edmond Dantes was a young seaman. Soon he became the captain of his own ship. Edmond had enemies, Danglars and Caderousse who told the government that he helped Napoleon. On the day of his wedding, he went to prison. There another prisoner Faria told him about some treasure on the island of Monte Cristo. When Faria died two men went to Faria’s room to carry his body. After they lifted Dantes and they threw him into the sea. Then he began to swim. After he saw a small ship. In the ship there were two men. Jacopo caught Dantes by the hair and pulled him up. The next morning they sailed to the island of Monte Cristo. They were going to sail to Livorno but Edmond wanted to leave him on the island of Monte Cristo. He wanted to find the treasure and he found it. After six days the ship returned, he came on board and they sailed to Genoa. There he took a small ship and sailed to Marseilles. There he saw his father and Mercedes. She said to him that Danglars left the country and nobody saw him again and Caderousse was still alive but he is very poor. Edmond was brave, successful and he was popular with his employer and the men on the ship. Jacopo was a good and kindhearted friend for Dantes. Mercedes was very beautiful and a fine girl. Edmonds father was an old good man. Danglars was a wicked man. Nobody on the ship liked him. Caderousse was a great friend of Dantes but he became his worst enemy. I liked this book very much because it was very interesting. I found this kind of project very good because I learned some new words and I also had something different to do on my holidays.

THE VOYAGES OF SINDBAD THE SAILOR

Sindbad the sailor went to the sea seven times and his voyages were always dangerous. He met giant men, snakes and birds and the Old Man of the Sea. He visited different countries and strange islands. Allah was a good and happy man. King Mirhraj was a very good and kind man. The captain and all the people in the Arab ship were very brave, kind and good. Sindbad was a very brave, rich, happy and good sailor. In this book I found an important message. We must always try for the best we can. I liked this book very much because this book had imagination and I also found this kind of project very good because I learned some new words.

BLACK BEAUTY

Black beauty was a happy horse. But when he grew up he understood how difficult the work was. He met a lot of bad people and they weren’t always nice. But he was always calm. Now I want to talk to you about the characters of the story. Mr Gordon was a really good man and he loved horses. John Manly was a kind groom with a lot of children. Joe Green was a child, he was a groom and he did his work honestly. Lord Westland was mad because he thought that animals have no life. Reuben Smith was kind but sometimes he was drunk. Jerry Barker was a poor man. He was friendly with the horses and he had two children. Mr Thoroughgood was a very happy person. He was a friend of Mr Gordon. Black Beauty was a very good horse and he did everything they told him. Ginger was friends with Black Beauty and she was bad tempered. My favourite character was Black Beauty because he was honest, good and very good at his job. He was a really good horse and he could control himself so he never bit or kicked anyone. My least favourite character is Reuben Smith because he made Black Beauty fall down and hurt his legs. I think I relate with Black Beauty because I always do whatever my parents tell me to do and I am honest too. The message of the book is that we must never give up. You must always try your best even though you lose. It doesn’t matter if you don’t win the point is that you’ve tried. And don’t forget to be your self, you are unique! My opinion of the book is that it made me fall in love with it and it kept me in suspense. It’s a bit sad but I learnt a lot. I’ll give you some advice.. READ IT!

Edmond Dantes was a happy seaman. One day he became captain and he married a beautiful woman, Mercedes. But during his wedding two soldiers caught him because as they said he was helping Napoleon. They put him on a boat but he escaped and went to the island of Monte Christo. He found a valuable treasure and he became rich. But after that he faced a lot of difficulties. Now I want to talk to you about the characters of the story. Dantes was a really good person and he did his work honestly. Farian was a kind man at the prison of the ship. Danglar was bad, he was Dantes enemy. Mercedes was Dante’s wife. She was very cute and beautiful. Mr Morel was a kind old man. I think I can relate with Dantes because I love to do difficult things. My favourite character was Dantes because he was very smart. My least favourite character was Danglar because he was Dantes enemy. And he did a lot of bad things. My opinion of the book is that it is very good with nice pictures in it and it kept me in a lot of suspense. The message of the book is that if you become stubborn you can’t stop. But be careful. Money doesn’t always bring happiness.

BLACK BEAUTY

There was a little horse grown up in fields and it was very happy. It wanted to carry people on his back. The first place where the horse went was Birtwick Park. There he had friends and they called one black beauty. Black beauty was a very strong horse that saved a lot of people’s lives. Sometimes he was wild when the people were unkind to him. The horse had too many adventures and he changed his house many times. But the last time his last home was a very beautiful place, the Rose Hall. There he met his first friend Joe Green and he felt very happy. He stayed with him. Everybody loved him in this place and he was not afraid of anything.

                                        CHARACTERS

Black Beauty is a fabulous horse. He is very kind and strong and he loves all the people who love him. He saved people’s lives when they were ill and he never complained to anybody even the people who hurt him. Joe Green was a good, kind man and he liked the horse’s mother. He loved Black Beauty very much and he wanted to see him happy. Mrs and Mr Gordon were two kind people who had a wonderful family. Mr Gordon was a very good rider and he was kind to him. Rueben Smith was an unkind man. Sometimes he got drunk, when he wasn’t drunk he was very good at his work but when he was drunk he wasn’t the same man. Jerry Barker was a very kind man but he had a very hard job. He didn’t want to hurt black beauty. I can relate to Joe Green because he was a very good man, he loved Black Beauty very much. He was the best and kindest groom. He kept Black Beauty with him forever.
