The story is about a boy named Faisal, who lived   in an isolated village called Um Khalid. Faisal was in a dilemma. He had to decide among the girl he was in love with Hanim and the new road   which would bring development to his village. He finally decided in favor of the road. The trouble began with the workmen. They  built the new road but they forgot about the water in the rainy season. This lead to the end of Um Khalid and to the death of Hanim and her mother.One of the two most important characters is Faisal. A boy who wasn’t happy with the simple life he had. As all young people, he wanted new things. He wanted to enjoy the developments. The other one is Abdel Rahman, an older and more experienced man , sho didn’t like changes. He  could see far ahead  the disadvantages of development. Ny favourite character and the one I can relate to is Faisal.He is young and polite.Aboy with dreams who tries to make his life better. My least favourite character is Abbas, a lazy young man who liked to talk too much and work less.

This story has two messages. One is that the more people have, the more they want. greed doesn’t lead to happiness. The other message is that , young people should appreciate elders’ opinion. They have more experiences and they are wiser.

I liked this book. I found it very interesting and full of messages. It kept me in suspense till the end and I couldn’t stop reading till I knew what would happen to Faisal.

My book is a story about a girl. She lived in a small valley. Her name was Ann Burden. This girl was the only person alive from a radioactive war, but one day she met a man. He invented a safe suit for radioactivity. He was afraid because he thought someone will steal his safe suit. He started to chase the girl. He wanted to kill her, so Ann left the small valley.

The story had three characters. Ann, her dog Faro and Mr.  Loomis,  the  man  with   the  safe suit.

My favourite character is Ann Burden. She was the hero. She was fifteen and she fougfht with Mr Loomis. My least favourite character was Mr. Loomis. I don’t like him because he wanted to kill Ann.

I can relate to Ann because I think we would be good friends.

The message of the book is we must stop the wars. We must have peace. I liked this book, as every book I read. I really found this project important and different.

This book talked about a plane that had three hijackers in it. They wanted their brothers from the prison. Helen Sandbeck could not do that. Later, she went to the prison and got their brothers and she gave them to the hijackers who had her husband. Finally the police got the hijackers and took them to the prison.

Helen was smart. Carl loved his wife. Harold was smart too and the hijackers were bad. We must do smart things in our lives, because Helen did that. In my opinion, Helen did the right thing because she saved lives.

In my story there was a rich woman. Her name was Jane and Tull wanted to marry her but Jane didn’t want to. Lassiter was a strong person and he came his for his sister but Tull stole the red cattle of Jane. Lassiter went and brought her the stolen red cattle. Then Oldring stole the white cattle of Jane. Bern went and found two people. Bern killed the first but the second was a woman and her name was Bess. Bern took Bess and then they were married. Lassiter went to Dyer and killed him because he stole his sister. Jane and Lassiter were married. They went to a valley and Tull and his men went too. Lassiter killed Tull and his men.

The message of the book is to help people. I like d the book because it was a great story and it had lots of heroes.

  THE FLOWER SELLER

Two art students named Clive and Andy  went to watch a football practice and followed the wrong van. This headlessness got them into trouble. They didn’t want to but they kept a painting. This painting was stolen from Lord Cleveland. They went to a detective but he thought they were the thieves. Later a shop keeper wanted the painting for himself. Andy and Clive drew a paonting like the stolen one and the thieves thought it was the original. The adventure finished and the two children had two new friends.Clive and Andy were very  brave, friendly , clever and students. The detective was good at his work and clever. Lord Cleveland was a rich man, he had a big house and he collected paintings. Sam and Eric worked for Kelly.

Mr Baker was a business  man and rich. Kelly had a shop, stole paintings for Mr Baker and he was a criminal.

My favourite characters are Clive and Andy because they were good children, young and clever.

The message of the book is we must be careful, we mustn’t steal things and we must help another person. This book was very beautiful and it was interesting because it had suspense and mystery. The project was very different and fun because I learned new words and I practiced reading.

THE STRANGER

Our story is about a strange man, Dave Slatin who decided to live in a small, quiet village and he opened the corner shop there. Many customers came to the shop secretly because they wanted help. The stranger helped them in a secret room because he had  special powers. We never find out what exactly is in that room. In the end, the stranger died in his shop because of a fire. A minute later Anna, the woman who he loved, died too.

Dave Slatin, the stranger, was a very clever and polite man with special powers. Anna was a beautiful and shy girl, Peter was a little unfriendly and arrogant too. My favourite character is the stranger because he had special powers and he could have whether he wanted or not.

The message of this book is that we must help other people without exploiting them because God will punish us like the stranger.

I liked this book very mush and I found it very interesting and exciting with different characters.

The book A Christmas Carol is very nice and interesting. Also, it speaks about a Christmas story.

There was a man. This man didn’t like Christmas and his name was Ebenezer Scrooge. He was rich but he didn’t give money to the poor people. He had no friends and he didn’t smile. Then people thought he was mad. One day before Christmas at midnight, he met three ghosts. The first showed him his past, the second, how poor people lived and the third, his future. After all this, Scrooge became friendly. He gave money to the poor people and he loved Christmas too!

The most important characters were The Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, Ebenezer Scrooge, his partner Bob Grachit and Fred, Scrooge’s nephew. My favourite character was Fred, because he was cheerful. I would like to be Fred too!

The message of this story was Christmas is a celebration, so we all must celebrate with no difference between us, but just with love. Rich and poor people can join with the Christmas message LOVE. Then all will be rich by heart.

At the end of this story I felt nice because I wasn’t bored but it was scary and very suspenseful. I believe this is a really good book and you will not be bored with this story.

RUNAWAYS

Hello, again. I’m Pandelis. This is my synopsis about the book Runaways.

It was Saturday afternoon. The Bristol Streets were busy. Smiler was there too, he got in trouble. One boy stole a handbag from an old lady and after 3 minutes he dropped it in Smiler’s hand and then he disappeared. The policeman took Smiler to the police station. On the way to the police station they stopped to save a man. This time Smiler escaped and went to a loft. He dyed his hair and changed his clothes.Then the policeman couldn’t find him. He went to Warmister to find work. When he went there on the way he saw a  cheetah from the zoo. She escaped from there and she had two cubs. After the cheetah died and Smiler took the cubs to the zoo. The cubs were safely back home and Smiler was still free.

The characters were Yarra the cheetah, Samuel Miles, Smiler, Major Colinwood had the loft, Mrs., Lake and Mrs. Milly, the bosses of Smiler.

We must do good things and not get in trouble. Smiler ran away and didn’t tell the truth to the good policeman.

I liked this book because it is a nice story. Also I learned many things from this because we must always say the truth. If we don’t, many things can happen.

Hello! My name is Ioanna Valtikou. I’m going to tell you about my project.

The book tells the story of the Scorpion King and the great pyramid of Anubis. Scorpion was a bad king who killed many Egyptians, Anubis helped him and then he told him that he and his Soldiers will leave this life and will sleep for Gooters. Then they will wake up in the year o;f the Scorpion. Some bad people, Meela, Lock-Nah and others want to help mummy Imhotep to be alive and wake up.jThey want Imhotep to be king of the world.Meela loves Imhotep. Rick, his wife Evelyn and their son, Alex. With Med-jai and his soldiers will win bad people.

In this book there are many characters. They are: Jonathan, Rick, Evelyn, Alex, Scorpion King,  Meela, Anubis, Imhotep, Sprivey, Lock-Nah, Anch-su-numun, Aberth Bay, Med-Jay, Izzy, Pharoo, Nefertiry and Abu-Simbel. My favourite person is Rick, because he is a brave and a good fighter.

The message of the book is when we want something we always must succeed in getting it.

The book is very interesting and I want you to read it because it is very beautiful.

  THE BORROWERS

Hello! I’m going to talk about a novel I read.

Few years ago it was an old but beautiful house. A happy family lived in it. The Lender family. Joe and Victoria Lender had a son. His name was Pete. The Lender family didn’t know that some Borrowers lived with them. The Borrowers were little people. They borrowed things which they really needed. The name of the Borrowers  family was Clock. Pod and Hamily Clock had a son and a daughter. Their names were Peagreen and Arrietty. Victoria’s Aunt Mary lived there before she died. Ocious P. Potter  was a bad lawyer. He didn’t give the letter which Mary wrote for the Lender family because he wanted the house . After a lot of adventures, Clock and Lender family took the house again.

The Clock and Lender family were good, just, cheerful and generous people. The Clock   family were afraid ;of the people because a person a few years ago , squashed a Borrower.

Ocious P .Potter was bad and he wasn’t just, generous and cheerful. Always he thought about money.

I have the same character of the Clock and Lender family because I’m  good, just, generous, cheerful and clever and I love the other people not the money.

All people must lived with peace and love is the message ;of the book. The Borrowers thought that all people were bad but it is not true. Always the good win the bad is the second message of the book.

I liked this book because there are a lot of adventures. It is interesting. This project was fun and different. It was the best of the best.

Hello again! My name is Kostas and today I’m going to speak to you about my book called “The Pearl”

My book talks about a man who found the greatest pearl in the world. Since then his family had many problems in their life. Many people tried to get the pearl but they could not.

In the story there are 5 characters. Kino,the man who found the pearl, Juana, his wife, Cogotito, their baby, their neighbors and Juan Tomas, Kino’s brother. The important characters are Kino and Juana. My favourite one is Kino because he found the pearl and my least favourite are the people who are trying to steal the pearl. I think I can relate with Kino because he’s the nicer man in the story.

The message of the story is that money sometimes brings problems and that money doesn’t always bring happiness. So, the important things in our lives are the relationships we have between people and not the money.

I liked this book because I found it very interesting. It also had a lot of suspense and adventure. I found this kind of project very fun and very different..

THE TURN OF THE SCREW

Hello everybody today I’m going to tell you about the story I read. It’s name is: “The turn of the screw”.

In this story a young lady goes to a big country house to teach two beautiful children, Flora and Miles. In this house stays also the servant, Mrs. Grose. The previous servants died and they returned as ghosts. The ghosts are mean and they want to do the children mean. Flora and miles saw the ghosts many times. Because Flora got ill went to London and two days later the boy dies.

This story has 6 characters. The young lady is mysterious, brave and protective Peter Quint and Miss Jessel

Are mean ghosts who want to hurt the children. Mrs. Groce is a good and peaceful woman, she looks after the children and cares about their happiness. My favourite character in this story is Flora because she is innocent. I don’t like the ghosts because they are mean.

The message of this story is that evil is expressed even in the human relationships.

I like this book because it is a mysterious novella and it has a lot of suspense. I like these kind of books.

HEIDI

KORINA VOUNATSOU

Heidi was a poor girl. Her parents died when she was very small. Her aunt gave her to her grandfather, and at the start she wasn’t happy, because her grandfather didn’t love her. One day her aunt took Heidi to Frankfurt. She didn’t want to go, because she loved her grandfather. In Frankfurt she knew Clara. Clara sat in a wheelchair. Heidi wasn’t happy in Frankfurt, she wanted to go to Alm-mountain. There she had a friend, Peter. Clara knew Peter. Heidi told her about life there. She had a very big problem, so the doctor said go to Alm-mountain. So Clara went in the summer to Alm-mountain. Then she walked with Heidi’s help.

Heidi is shy, friendly and funny child. Grandfather at start was rude, boring and lazy, but with Heidi he became friendly and nice person. He loved Heidi. Peter was a smart boy, he lived in the mountain.

At start Clara was bad-tempered but after became a cheerful and friendly girl. The best character is Heidi because she helps and loves people. I believe we will become friends. The least character is Peter because he is afraid to Clara. He is rude and he doesn’t say the truth.

The message of the book is the love. We must help and love all. So we win all the problems.

I find this book very good and interesting. |It is a real story and it has suspense. I found this project and funny. I knew Heidi and Alm-mountain and Frankfurt.

THE RAILWAY CHILDREN

Hi. I’m going to talk to you about The Railway children. Roberta, Peter and Phyllis lived happily in London with their mother and father. One day their father goes away. The children go to live in a small house near the railway with their mother.

The characters in the story are Roberta Peter, Phyllis, mother, father, Mr. Perks, Mrs. Perks, the old man the signal man, two policemen and Jim Roberta was the oldest and the most clever. Then there was a boy, he wanted to be the boss. Phyllis was the youngest. My favourite characters are Roberta and Peter because they had a lot of ideas. My least favourite is the signal man because he slept on his work and he thought that Peter was a thief. Oh my God! I think I can relate with Peter because I have a lot of ideas too.

The message of the book is if we love somebody and we lose him we must  have  the power to bring him back. This is important of our lives because we have to learn be strong.

This book is wonderful because it had adventure and |I liked it very much. The book is interesting because it kept me in suspense. I hope all of you one by one read it and you’ll learn the “message”.

A long time ago Sinbad the sailor made lots of voyages and journeys to invent new places .He was rich before his father died. But he spent his father’s money quickly, so he went to the sea. He made 7 voyages and journeys with other merchants and sailors to the South and the East and he saw strange people and places. He saw giant eggs, monkey- men ,animal-men , big snakes, giants, giant birds and the Old man of the Sea. Finally he became rich again.

My favourite character of this story is Sinbad’s character, because he made lots of voyages and journeys. He became rich again, he bought and sold goods, he took diamonds from the valley of diamonds. He was brave and smart because he won strange people and animals. He was very kind and generous because he gave money to people without anything.  He was lucky because he didn’t die. He loved Allah and Allah helped him. My least favourite characters are the characters of the animal-men and the monkey-men because they were bad and they ate people. I want to relate to Sinbad because he was strange and clever.

The message of this book is a great sentence: <We must believe in our self because if we don’t, we can’t do anything in our life.>

I liked reading this book. I found it interesting because in the 7 voyages, Sinbad saw very strange people, animals and places. This book kept me in suspense. It had fun and I didn’t get bored. I can read this bokk again and again. I like and  the message of the book.

DANTE’S PEAK

Harry Dalton is a scientist. He knows a lot about volcanoes. His boss Paul Dreyfus sends him to a small town of Dante’s Peak. Harry thinks the vocano abve the town is going to explode. Paul thinks Harry is wrong. But he isn’t. The vocano exploded and a lot of people died.

The important characters in the story were Harry Dalton, Paul Dreyfus, Rachel and Less Worrell. My favourite character of the story is Harry Dalton because he wants to save people from exploding volcanoes. And he was a very good scientist. My least favourite character is Paul Dreyfus because he thinks Harry was wrong. But he isn’t and a lot of people died.

The message of this book is that we can’t stop the physical phenomenon but we can provide them so people can be ready to control them and nobody dies from them.

I found this book very interesting because it tells about physical phenomenon like volcanoes and earthquakes. I like it because a man tried very much to save other people from death. I really like reading this kind of book and I found very interesting this project.
